- A personal interview is one of our admission requirements. If you live or are visiting the area, we encourage you to come visit the school in person. We’ll take you on a tour of the facilities so you can see firsthand all the amenities that make our programs so attractive.
- You are welcome to bring your parents, spouse, or a friend with you. We know that students often appreciate sharing their first impressions and questions with someone they trust.
- If you live out of state, your interview can be conducted over the phone. We will also send you an information kit with details about the school, its facilities, faculty, and policies.
Apply Early for Admission to IADT Detroit
Prospective students should apply for admission as early as possible. This can help ensure that qualifying students receive our official acceptance in time to meet their desired program’s start date and have plenty of time to complete the student finance process (if applicable).
Basic Requirements*
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- A completed admissions application
- Application fee
- A completed student disclosure form
- Interview with an IADT Admission Representative
Students who have previously attended the Academy must complete the same admission requirements and procedures as new applicants.
